How to use what3words in Brightpearl?

<aside> ⚠️ To collect what3words addresses from your customers, you’ll first need to add a what3words address field to your checkout page or CRM. To do so you can use one of our existing plugins or the what3words API. You can take a look at these options and find out more information here.

Create a custom field

First, create a sales order custom field to store the what3words address:

  1. Log into Brightpearl
  2. Go to Settings > Custom fields > Sales
  3. Click Add a field and complete the following sections;

Ingesting what3words addresses

Shopify

what3words must first be added to your Shopify store. A step-by-step guide is available here.

Once installed and configured, follow these instructions ensure what3words addresses are passed to Brightpearl:

  1. Log into the Shopify Admin
  2. Go to Apps > Brightpearl
  3. In the Orders tab, scroll down to Order Note Attribute Mapping
