Haroon had severe eczema for 27 years. So every few days he had suffered with inflamed, dry and itchy skin on his face, arms and legs. Despite being a practicing physician, he was still unable to tackle these breakouts. So he and Niall teamed up to leverage data and AI to solve this problem for good. The result was that after using Proton Health, Haroon finally became flare-up free last year. And now we’re on a mission to help millions of people across the globe to do the same.
The dermatology consultation market is worth $25B, but it’s undervalued by at least 8x due to supply constraints. There’s a 13,000 dermatologist shortage, 40% are burnt out and private equity own the majority of clinics and are squeezing margins further. Aside from the macro, 80% of dermatologist time is wasted on information gathering, admin and patient follow-ups.
We’re building a modern dermatology OS that automates this tedious work to unlock the supply-demand problem.
Step 1: Automated Medical Assessment - Our AI dynamically assesses a patients skin before they’ve stepped into the doctors office. With a 75% improved diagnostic rate compared to primary care physicians.
Step 2: Admin and Treatment Co-Pilot - We use this assessment and ambient listening during the consultation to complete all their paperwork. We also offer live suggestions and suggest research based treatment plans.
Step 3: Intelligent Skin Coach App - This advice and data is transmitted to the patients personalised app. Where we use AI to dynamically customise their treatment protocol, detect when their skin worsens and nudge them to rebook with their clinician.
