Epics
July: Finish Planning
All Epics
- Planning of all the epics
- Publish Research Plans for the 4 epics
- Methods: Surveys & Interviews; Existing research & content review
- Idea: a webpage with all of the user research plans & survey assets, etc
- Add a page to pip documentation with links to all the surveys
- User Research section of the documentation ++
- pip repo > docs; restructured text
- Can use a MD > RST converter
- or use github pages ?
- Or shift over to packaging.python.org eventually?
- Survey content for all the epics drafted
August: Collect Data
Across all Epics
- Outreach for surveys
- Finalise and publish surveys
- Collecting Survey responses
- Starting interviews
- Develop recruitment plan (e.g. more diverse than current research panel)
- Recruit more users for interviews
- Conduct interviews
Pip-Who
- Analyse Jetbrain surveys and UX Study data
- Contact Jetbrain about expanding their surveys to cover the our survey topics or a subset
Pip-Docs
- Think about other methods of data collection / quantitative data we can collect
- e.g. Analytics, Comments directly on documentation (e.g. hypothesis?)
- Hypothesis — Use private groups? We could use this as an ongoing way to measure the effectiveness of pip's docs
