Accelerating the next wave of NFT collections on the Terra Ecosystem

Problem

The Terra ecosystem is currently missing a suite of tools for NFT minting, creation, sales, and drops. The current solutions are centralized marketplaces (similar to OpenSea)

Current Landscape

Solana ecosystem has Metaplex and a tutorial on how to mint an NFT which has accelerated adoption of Solana and NFT projects. Ethereum has a vast number of tutorials and platforms (OpenZeppelin, Hardhat, NFTPort, etc). But no such tutorial or project exist for the Terra ecosystem.

Terra has a growing OSS community, and there are several teams which have released versions of base CW721 contracts that can be a starting point. But the hard work of an all-in-one tool to upload to ipfs, ensure NFT's display on Terra station, piecing together logic from multiple contract with the correct functionality, is missing.

Opportunity

We'd like to bridge the gap and provide this tooling. We'd like to start by:

1. Contributing a tutorial on how to mint NFTs on Terra
2. Release a CLI and Starter Template dApp on Github

Specifically:

• Target Audience devs and project leads new to Terra
• CLI uses IPFS for NFT persistence, supports multiple file formats
  • Upload, mint, and sell an NFT collection
• dApp NextJS Typescript App + Contract
  • Using uploaded code’s ID to reduce gas costs
  • Royalties

Extensions:

• Setting variable floor price
