This exercise is for all levels of applicants, but please note, the more senior the role the more intricate, clean and serviceable we expect the code to be.

Standard Care is remote-first and embraces async workflows. This description is similar to our approach.

Prompt:

Standard Care is a little like a mullet, business in the front, party in the back. Our web application is focused on health benefits professionals making multi million dollar vendors selections for their companies, sometimes affecting 10,000+ employees. The backend is developer centric API that is meant to be a low code way for digital health companies to acquires new members with ease.

In either JavaScript (TypeScript), Python, or Ruby create a basic script that can be run on the command line and will return mock API responses for endpoints specified in our API docs. Since this API is the design phase, there is not firm right or wrong answer here. So feel free to make it as simple as you need to get something built. And feel free to make it silly if that keeps you engaged.

Key Concepts:

• Schema (note this is not complete)
• The API reports engagement for each employee (aka member) in a census
• Buyers on SC create groups of employees (aka members, aka users) by uploading a document known as a census and then sharing it with digital health vendors to first bid on prices and then enrolling those members. There is a product with a similar workflow for health insurance here.
