🧭 our north determines our direction in life, while our south represents our past: in a non linear mindset- OUR ORIGIN HOLDS THE KEYS TO OUR FUTURE

"...we all have indigenous roots at some point in our ancestry. If you believe that a regenerative future can only emerge through the integration of knowledge held for generations and this resonates with you, then you are in the right place."
What is nōdo?
<aside>
💡 nōdo is a community of individuals who believe that ancestral knowledge is crucial for creating positive social and environmental change. We are an indigenous cultural resiliency DAO that (1) uses art for cultural and environmental preservation to (2) fund the expansion ****and economic reinsertion of local cooperatives and (3) provide a platform indigenous knowledge to be shared and protected through blockchain technology. We believe the emergence of a regenerative future only comes through the intersection of community, ancestral knowledge and present technologies.
- amplifying indigenous voices
- allowing communities to self-fund their economic reinsertion in support of a larger value led community
- preservation of knowledge as an asset for the ones who have preserved and mantained it

Problem
- Limited access to cultural resources and infrastructure, most projects with indigenous communities fall into “assistentialist” approaches.
- Inadequate representation and recognition of indigenous cultural rights
- Exploitation of native cultural heritage without their consent or benefit.
Indigenous peoples:
- lack formal recognition over their lands, territories and natural resources
- are last to receive public investments in basic services and infrastructure
- encounter barriers to participate fully in the formal economy
- are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change though they safeguard 80 percent of the world’s remaining biodiversity
- speak 96% of the world languages, and roughly 90 per cent of all existing languages may become extinct within the next 100 years
Solution
indigenous knowledge holds the key to change the world
just some examples include:
- 🔑 non linear mindset, fractal mentality
- 🔑 time as cyclical and recurring, nothing is static
- 🔑 ayllu- family/community nucleus, co-creation as a way of living
