ABOUT
Servlife is a mobile marketplace that provides opportunities to help users get more done in less time by hiring help from service volunteers who performs the jobs and errands at a cost.
The Seeker and Volunteer mobile products are the core application used by the owners and volunteeers while the business uses the web product to monitor requests and optimize performance.
Doing house chores and running errands are vital parts of our everyday lives. With the invention of the internet and social media as tools, we have been developing easier means of getting some of these tasks done for us like shopping, getting food, e.t.c.
Delivery services for example, allow consumers to be free from the hassle of going to a physical store to do the shopping themselves. But what happens when people need to shop, clean their environment, run errands with the little time on their hand?
Servlife was created to provide a cost effective way to get around doing all these work by yourself.
The target users of Servlife are young and old people. there are two categories of users, The Service seekers and Service volunteers. These users have a strong preference for easy, simple interface.
The team was made up of The stakeholders, 2 Backend engineers, 1 Frontend developer and me. With my previous experience designing mobile products from ground up, I was responsible for conducting user research using the interview method in order to empathize more with the users, Userflow, Visual design and Prototypes.
The goal of the interview was to empathize with our potential users by having a good understanding as to what their mental model is and of cause possible suggestions to make the app’s experience pleasant for them.
