Welcome to the grrl gang berlin community! This is a safe space to discuss any topics relating to FLINTA* people in Berlin. All feminists are welcome to join our private community, except for cis-men* and TERFS or SWERFs. Our feminism is intersectional and there’s no room for discussion on that. We communicate via our Private Network hosted in Discord, on Social Media via Instagram and Telegram and via our Website and Newsletter (currently on hold). All of these areas are moderated by the following guidelines.

Here are some quick ways to get started >>

• We encourage you to add your pronouns when you introduce yourself to our community, in the discord server, at events, or at workshops. This is a quick and helpful way of helping everyone feel welcome in the space. If you’re new to that idea, here’s a quick guide.
• Post and share your thoughts, concerns, and questions: Have something to say or put out there? Let your voice be heard! Talking about what is on your mind is a great way to start a conversation, make new connections, and gather information from fresh perspectives.
• Chat with other online members: You can use our private network to chat instantly with other online members either privately one-on-one or in a group chat.
• Be open, honest, and respectful: This community is intended to foster meaningful and honest interactions. Diversity shines here. It is important to be respectful of others’ contributions and aware that members are from all over the world and from different backgrounds than your own.
• Use non-patriarchal language when chatting in our space. If you want to address the group as whole you can use “hey gang, hey friends, folx, fam” but let’s avoid terms like “ladies, guys etc” because this assumes everyone here identifies as such.

When interacting with our gang we would invite you to take some time to read and get to know our manifesto. Inspired by the grrl gangs that came before us and (hopefully) the many more grrl gangs that will walk in our path. The world is a difficult place to be right now, but we can channel our energy into something positive together. We will not always be perfect, we will all make mistakes. But we can promise to show up for one another, every. single. day. No matter what life throws at us. Thanks to Eloise for designing this manifesto for us, and all those involved in workshopping these statements. ⁣

While we do moderate this community, we welcome open discussion. To help everyone enjoy our community, we ask that when you post in our private discord server, or on our social media pages, you keep in mind the following:

• We don’t allow defamatory, indecent, offensive, profane, discriminatory, misleading, unlawful or threatening comments.
• Personal attacks, name-calling, trolling and abuse will not be tolerated. Spamming, posting promotional material or posting links to third party websites that are not relevant to our community is not permitted. We reserve the right to delete comments at our discretion and block any repeat offenders.
• We will remove content that is fraudulent, deceptive or misleading.
• Coordinated group attacks will not be tolerated. It is recognized that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this community is for encouraging support. Language deemed to be abusive or offensive will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Comments posted deliberately to disrupt threads or throw discussions off-track will also not be tolerated.
