First things first, what should you expect from, and prepare for, your upcoming Connection Session? Click on the link below and read through the slides to find out.

Connection Sessions - What to Expect and What to Prepare

After having read the "What to Expect and What to Prepare" slides, you'll hopefully have a clearer picture of how Connection Sessions work and getting yourself prepared for the Connection Session. Since your ultimate goal is to partner with the Corporate Participants, do you know how to structure a partnership? Move on to our next slide presentation to find out more!

Structure Your Partnership

After reading through both of these sets of slides, you should have a clear expectation for what the Connection Sessions will be like, and how you can partner with the Corporate Participants. Remember that there are many different types and "levels" of engagement based on interest, skills, availability, and other factors, so it's really important that you come prepared with some ideas for what your organization needs. And while many Board members have been matched through Community Connections, it's unlikely that you will add someone to your Board after only one short conversation. So really think about how you can keep the Participants engaged in what you are doing, and have small specific "asks" that you can get them to commit to.

Additional Resources for Social Impact Organizations

In order to help you better manage and govern your organization, we have provided the following library of resources. Feel free to use any of them, and let us know if you think we should add anything, or if you would like training on any particular area.

Organizational Capacity

Would you like to do a 'health check' for your organization? These assessment tools help to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your organization. You may want to share the results with your Board members to address the identified issues. Or narrow them down into potential projects to partner with the Corporate Participants!
