šŸšØThe basic use of the coworking office during office hours is to work quietly. Outside office hours (9-5), and during lunchtime youā€™re welcome to chit chat in the lounge or anywhere else :-)

šŸ—£ļøThe most important guideline is to discuss your needs openly with others. Someone is listening to music and you canā€™t concentrate? Please speak up. You want to have a short call in the office? Ask if you are bothering others by doing so.

šŸš«Please donā€™t roam around in the building (1st and 2nd floor). Only ground floor roaming is allowed :) (This is for other tenants to feel safe.)

šŸ‘¼Fair use policy

Everyone doing or looking for high impact (volunteer) work can use the office. Want to invite someone? Read this.

šŸ¹Alcohol policy

Alcohol and 0% beer is generally permitted (and sometimes provided), after office hours. Please donā€™t drink if youā€™re worried you might become disruptive, and if there are still people working donā€™t disturb them. Because alcohol and tech stuff donā€™t mix well together, please drink in the social area or meeting room and not at the desks.

šŸ‘˜ Dress code

Feel free to wear clothes that you find comfortable or suitable.

šŸ˜Š Be nice and be respectful

We want to nurture a supportive, deeply caring, and encouraging environment for everyone who uses our space. This is best accomplished when everyone tries their best to be nice and be respectful:

  1. Be considerate, especially of other peopleā€™s boundaries
  2. Communicate and act in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome.

Harmful or thoughtless behaviour does not belong at our coworking office. This includes unwanted (sexual) attention, unkindness, (repeatedly) talking over someone, or not respecting someone's boundaries.

If you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable for any reason, please do let us know. Weā€™ll do our best to make things better, because itā€™s important to us.

šŸ«‚ Inclusivity is important

We want as many talented people as possible helping to solve the worldā€™s most pressing problems. A lack of diversity within a community- diversity of demographics, of opinions, of skill sets and of experience - can become self-reinforcing, which can severely limit the ability of our community to effect change. Even when we donā€™t consciously exclude people, being the only representative of a certain demographic can make people feel uncomfortable or out of place.

Itā€™s not enough to have good intentions - these things happen by default and through unconscious systematic biases unless we think and check carefully about how our actions will be interpreted, so we take this issue seriously.
