The remaining difference in backlinks is the result of the website migration. When we developed the new site, we moved site content around and created new pages. This means that websites that link to old pages need redirects to new pages (ex. redirect users from /about to /who-we-are). This is the main reason why backlinks are much higher this month: there have been hundreds of redirects created to ensure no traffic is lost.
Google’s keyword rankings are always changing, and often not for reasons in our control. This being said, over the past month there have been some changes.
The following table shows the top 30 keywords that Dunham House has improved their ranking on to be in the top half of the search result page (either going from a worse ranking, or from not ranking at all).
Ex. Dunham House’s previous keyword ranking for “rehab center” (5th in the table list) was 16th. This means it was the 16th search result for that keyword. Now, its current position is 4th. Please note this is for Canada-wide searches and may vary based on specific location.
