1. Chase the “prey”:

It is essential to satisfy your little cat’s predatory urges from time to time. This can be taken care of by using toys like cat wands.

Step1: Try to make your toy look like a rat or a bird, or even a worm. Preferably use feathers instead of blank plastic at the end of your toy.

Step2: While moving the toy, mimic the moments of a prey.  Be unpredictable with the moments of your toy.

Step3: Stay consistent. Spend 10 to 15 minutes every day playing with your cat.

2. Run and fetch:

Asking your cat to run and fetch is another way to keep your cat’s predatory urges sorted. This also keeps your cat healthy and active.

Step1: Pick a toy, which your cat in her mouth can easily carry.

Step2: If your cat doesn’t respond when you throw the toy away, try filling the toy with some catnip

Step3: Reward your cat with treats after she fetches the toy to reinforce this habit.

3. Play with your food:

Food distributor is another great toy for your cat. It consists of cat food inside it. When your cat rolls the ball, the present inside comes out of the holes present on the ball.

Step1: Demonstrate how to use the food distributor in front of your cat. Roll the ball; when the food spills, point it with your finger.

Step2: Start with larger holes. To make your cat accustomed to the food distributor, increase the size of the holes so that more food comes out of the ball.

Step3: Try decreasing the size of the holes gradually. Smaller holes will make your cat more engaged with the ball.

4. Interactive puzzles:

Cats need mental stimulation to prevent boredom. Puzzles are a great way to keep your cats entertained.
