This is how my final timer patcher display looks like:

This was my first time using a software called Max. I have not even heard about it before. This is my first patcher and I do not want to deny that I find it difficult. After watching all the provided tutorials, I thought it will be easier to recreate the same thing. But it took me a while to understand each object’s function and build a connection between them. I got confused with so many new elements working at once. However, creating from scratch, stopping a tutorial million times, and rewatching it again and again helped me to understand the concept, and relationship between each of them.

I created a time for cooking different types of noodles. First, I started researching on their kinds and time periods to get them cooked. I chose 5 the most popular ones. Also, I found out a tutorial, where the author introduced the fpic object - the simplest way to display images in a max patch, and the alpha message which used in conjunction with the line object. It can create a fade in or fade out of the opacity of the image. I added the images of the noodles as I wanted my timer to be visually appealing. I also spent quite a lot of time arranging patch cords, and adding different background and text colors.
