Data from the Brandon Butch channel will be used for demonstration.
Each number label represents the directory of a specific layer. Click the triangle icon (▾ or ▸) next to each widget name to show or hide complete instructions.
Channel ID is the most crucial information to gain as most data request it, including the newest video uploads, community posts, and channel avatar.
Copy the channel URL. A normal channel URL should look like this: **https://www.youtube.com/@BrandonButch**. Remove all characters before and the @ sign, so it turns into BrandonButch.
Go to this website (Convert YouTube Username to ID). Scroll down until you see the YouTube Username input box with the Convert YouTube Username to ID button.
Type the username from Step 1 and then select Convert YouTube Username to ID. Copy the Channel ID that shows up in the YouTube Channel ID section.
Applies to all widgets with the Avatar layer.
Copy the channel URL.
Go to this website (imageyoutube.com). Look up the section called Paste YouTube Channel or Video URL, View and Save YouTube Profile Picture.

Scroll down until you see the By channel id section. Type the channel ID you just got into the Channel id option and select Generate feed. The channel’s feed will show up.
If you have a macOS device with Handoff enabled, right-click the Mrss button and select Copy. The feed RSS link will synchronize to your iPhone or iPad.
If you use an iPhone or iPad, make sure you open the data editor from a layer in Widgy. Long press on the Mrss button, then drag it into the input box, select all, and copy it.
Applies for all Community widgets with Tap Action, Date posted, and Description layers, which are URL-based.
Go to this website (RSS-Bridge).
Search for YouTube Community Tab Bridge. Select Show more to show its configurations.
Scroll down until you see the By channel ID section. Type the channel ID you just got into the Channel ID option and select Generate feed. The channel’s Community feed will show up.
To get the channel’s Community RSS link, right-click the Mrss button and select Copy (on macOS) or long press and drag the Mrss button into the input box in Widgy's data editor from a layer (on iPhone).
Applies to all widgets with the Channel name layer.
Similar to the process to get a channel RSS link, you use the YouTube Bridge configuration to show the channel’s RSS feed from a channel ID. Instead of selecting Mrss, you will choose Json. Drag the link into the JSON URL input box of the Channel name layer within Widgy. Make sure to tap the input box so that the link you are dragging should work. Choose the data in items > 0 > author > name. Select Test and choose Looks Good.
Do they work?
Yes, they do, as long as you use the correct link for all data and Tap Actions in the widget.
Do the pictures and information change with the latest uploads?
Yes, they do.
I am using the mobile web version for YouTube, and when I open a community post, it says “Something went wrong.” Any fix for that?
This is a known issue due to limitations in terms of community tab support on the mobile web version of YouTube. The only fix for that is switching to the desktop view.
