The path to a full blown workgroup can be a tricky one, involving lots of work and new experiences. In order to help you navigate these complexities, we have a few resources below:

Grants vs Trial Working Groups vs Working Groups

  1. Grants offer up to $10K in funding with short timelines (typically 1–3 months). Grants aim to empower active contributors in the Jupiverse by providing additional motivation and operational flexibility.
  2. Trial Working Group is typically a natural progression from the Grants stage. Unlike Grants, it requires an autonomous team with a proven track record of collaboration. These groups commit to full-time DAO operations for 3 months, with self-determined budgets paid exclusively in USDC.
  3. Working Groups represent the final progression stage within JUP DAO. After a successful trial period, Trial Working Groups can request a vote to become a regular Working Group. These groups operate with minimum one-year commitments and receive both USDC and JUP token allocations to ensure alignment with the DAO's goals.

Proposal Standard:

This is a format created by the CWG to help in proposal writing. It leverages the main categories talked about in every past proposal, and is the official recommendation of the CWG. If a group decides to deviate from this format, it is entirely their choice. But they should include the critical components of the standard.

Trial Prep Sheet and JUP & Juice Case-study:

To attain a grant or a trial workgroup, it may serve you well to listen to the lessons of those who came before you. And this is precisely what the JUP & JUICE Case-study and Trial Prep Sheet were made for. These documents contain information about the processes that lead to successful Grants and Workgroups respectively.
