Unit 2 Overview
Instructions
The website you choose must come from the List of Websites below. (If you want to choose another website, you must get it approved by the instructor first.) Be prepared to address the following as you redesign the website:
- Identify the purpose of the website.
- Identify organizational culture markers that demonstrate who the person or company is and how they want to be perceived.
- Identify the website's target audience.
- Indicate what the user's state of awareness might be (e.g., problem aware, solution aware, etc.).
- Reconceptualize the site and design 4-6 representative pages (including the home page) with no restriction on length and no restriction on the type of pages that must be included.
- Your redesigned screens should better represent the organization/website owner and their cultural values, AND it should more effectively reach the target audience than the original website. You should be able to explain how you achieved these goals in a short rationale.

Deliverables
1. Sketch Homework (details for this assignment are here)
You will first sketch 2 new options for the home page of the site you select. These sketches may be completed by hand or using sketching software. This assignment is described in detail here.
2. Figma Tutorial (details for this assignment are here)
So that you understand how to use the software we are using to create your final, medium-fidelity prototype, you must complete a tutorial for Figma. You will create two simple screens with basic content elements (navigation, heading, images). If you want, you can start bringing your sketches to life in this tutorial, or just follow along and complete the generic pages that are done in the tutorial. Details about what is required are here.
