What’s New

Release 3.1.0 is all about Studios. Studios have been a key part of the Tonic experience. Studios embody what becoming performance-ready is all about: People get to share their work in progress, and support and motivate each other. Our new updates are based off months of user research and community feedback.

• General / Overall
  • Entirely new look with icon upgrades and visual polishes!
  • Overall improved alerts and error handling for inputs / forms
  • Overall improved alerts and indication of successful update (ex. invite friends, edit description)
• Studio Setup
  • Select an theme/instrument, which remembers what you most often use
  • Add a description to display in-Studio
  • Curate Playlist of songs or techniques to highlight while you’re playing during the Studio
  • Make public / private

  • Change your studio description on-the-fly
  • View your upcoming playlist and toggle to go to the next song
  • Enable focus mode
  • Make private studio into a public studio
  • Enable Feedback mode
  • Enable viewing or hiding the clock
  • Take a coffee break
  • Improve invite friends experience
• Audience View
  • See what song or technique the player is currently working on
  • Clear indication if player is in focus mode or on a coffee break
  • Quick tap to see a preview of someone’s profile
  • Report a Person, add a report message
• Feedback Mode
  • Player asks a question to open feedback request
  • Audience sees that there is a feedback request and can respond to feedback
  • Player can review all feedback notes during the studio and at the end
• Coffee Break
  • Player can start a 3 min quick break (mutes microphone) and end the break at any time
  • Audience sees a countdown for the break

Bug Fixes

• Improved navigation to Create a Studio
• Improved End of Studio Stats view
• When Studio Paused (if app closed and reopened while studio is open), player can open Tonic and “Return to Studio” or “Close Studio”
