đ Theory of Change
There is an abundance of news about climate change. Yet society lacks a generally accepted and useful context about how to make sense of the content. Without the context, the content simply occurs as fragmented information and the result is overload, resignation, and defeatism. Our theory is that illuminating the context of climate solutions will help society see the evidence of existing climate solutions. This is a precondition to accelerating our desired future. Our theory has 5 key steps:
The event format is a new take on the 1939 New York Worldâs Fair - the first worldâs fair to be future-oriented. The â39 fair introduced the public to inventions that are now a normalized part of our culture. Things like Television, air conditioning, and fluorescent light bulbs. Indeed, the â39 fair showed us that our idea of ânormalâ is constantly evolving, and envisioning the future is a precondition to creating it.
Science-Backed
To stay true to the science and build evidence-based hope, we base our theory on a few key resources: Project Drawdown emissions sectors, Speed and Scale targets, the Chicago Schoolâs Levers of Social Change, and the strategic management principle known as Backcasting.
We believe in the power of transformation on micro, meso, and macro levels. What happens to one eventually happens to all. Our role is to create the conditions for evidence-based climate hope to emerge. The result is an ever-present sparkle of awe and camaraderie, fortified by a shared vision of our desired future thatâs expressing itself right before our eyes.
đĄ Vision
We see a time in which all products and services are subservient to the benefit of people and the planet. Corporations are aligned to Science Based Targets and operating within the Donut.
