At Adamas Studio, we believe jewelry should be both personal and precise. That’s why we offer loose stone setting services—something many jewelers won’t do, or only offer under rigid conditions, with fees that sometimes exceed the purchase price of the stone itself.
We’re different because we’ve been on the other side. We know how frustrating it is to have a beautiful stone and no one willing to set it without excessive cost, vague communication, or judgment. We built this business to offer what we wish existed: transparent, thoughtful service that treats your jewelry respectfully.
Yes—we will set your stone. But we also do it with clear standards, safety-first practices, and deep respect for the materials you trust us with.
We work exclusively with a carefully selected group of master bench jewelers and MFA-trained metalsmiths (Master of Fine Arts), who specialize in custom and complex projects. Our founders personally vet every partner to ensure their craftsmanship meets our standards—and yours.
We are not currently accepting reclaimed stones or vintage heirlooms.
Why? Stones that have been previously set often carry hidden damage: surface wear, structural stress, or minor fractures that may not show until force is applied during the setting process. Antique cuts can also be more delicate and vulnerable to breakage. Without full control over the setting environment, we won’t take the risk, especially with pieces that carry sentimental or historical significance.
We plan to offer reclamation services in the future, but until then, our priority is doing only what we can guarantee will be done safely and responsibly.
We cannot accept previously worn or reclaimed settings, including vintage mounts or reworked metal.
Why? Used settings are often structurally compromised, even if they look pristine. Metal fatigue, loose prongs, or warping may not become apparent until the moment of setting, when pressure is at its highest. This puts both your stone and setting at serious risk.
