Hi. I’m Issac, I am the CTO and Co-Founder a tiny startup called Bowtie. I’m looking for some help building an iOS application. You would be the first engineer working on this area. We’ve built desktop and server applications for our network and security product with a team of a half dozen engineers and we are expanding into mobile

About Bowtie:

We build and ship Security and Networking products made for businesses. Customers pick us because our user-experience for their customers is impeccable and because our architecture alleviates security concerns that our competition does not.

About our Team and Stack:

We’re building a network access product with wireguard at the core. There are two parallel implementations of wireguard that should work on iOS and we are building the porcelain and plumbing to make one of them work exceptionally well for remote access in an enterprise environment. Our work is mostly in Rust but I recognize that this is not the best language for every task and that is not a strict requirement for this role. It may be useful, as we have a MacOS implementation which may be able to share a common core. That’s an area I’d like to explore with you.

An Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for a contract and we are flexible on the terms. While nothing is guaranteed, we expect to open full time roles in this area as soon as possible.
