What?

Recruit more faculty for involvement in the Warrior Fab Lab to build diversity and critical mass as effort to institutionalize the Fab Lab as a campus and community resource.

Why?

Within the large systems framework of the university, this is one of several important leverage point that needs to be realized for continued success for the Warrior Fab Lab as an institutional resource with critical mass

Part of larger strategic goal of institutionalizing maker pedagogy and innovation within the university, creates a demand and buy-in for administration to support, would expose more student users into the lab, assistance with education and input for Fab Lab and university strategic planning, develop natural connections with the surrounding community through faculty and department networks. Need to diversify.

Who?

Students - Continue to leverage student demand for the Warrior Fab Lab to encourage faculty to consider use of the space

Faculty - Create a project that will utilize the space, encourage input and further development from faculty that are more engaged with the space. Encourage research methods through the Fab Lab.

Education + Liberal Studies Departments - to assist with educational resources and workshops

Deans & VPs - at the very least - promote and encourage opportunities, incentivize faculty development

Faculty Development Center - provide platform to “legitimize” faculty opportunities, small funding source

Communications Dept. - Creative Media internships - assisting with PR/Marketing/Communications

University Advancement - Promotion, donor cultivation

When?
