One of the projects me and my students did before was to do some upcycling activity. With the use of plastic bags, wax paper, scissors and etc, we created a new product out of the plastic bags. Some of the products were simple bookmark, simple key and simple bag.

The opportunity to use our Laser Cutting Machine and Heat Press Machine in fabricating new products.
In addition, I am able to connect with Mr. Charles Barrette, an industrial designer based in Bohol, Philippines. Mr. Barrette has an extensive experience in plastic sheet fabrication using heat press.
When the pandemic happen, our school mode of delivery shifted to online modalities and the difficulty of different national and local government restrictions.
With these scenario, students have difficulty in accessing the heat press and laser cutting machine available at FAB LAB Ilocos.
We are able to think of an alternative tools, that is use of hot iron and sewing machines available at their respective homes.
I am surprise to see a bag made of plastic garbage bag.
