DevOps was the process of productionizing the system administration process: instead of a bunch of manual steps, devops engineers would instead produce automation scripts that would do those steps, that could be checked into a repo somewhere. Those scripts are a product of de devops team.
Companies that have functional devops teams are a minority. Most techorgs are simply fucked, using waterfall and methods from the 90s.
We can thus assume that most non-tech orgs are also fucked - full of employees doing manual things over and over again and never producing anything.
Maybe a SaaS app that ensures that organisational teams produce products - and show the flow of products between teams - would be good.
