Through our discussions of The Story, Earth's To-Do List, capitalism, narrative structure, and beyond, the value of sharing the story and structure of Plot Twisters (how does our team play??) would be valuable for the public to understand how we work, and for us to start establishing boundaries and methods as our soccer team continues to grow. We're inspired by the notion of overwhelmed excitement many team players have felt when they've joined the team — we want the playbook to be a display of our values and how they play into recruitment, onboarding, working, and decision-making.

Isaac has pointed Cat and Jenny to the Blinkist, Novus, and USC SSF handbooks for inspiration, and we plan to use these to create an outline of what a Plot Twisters playbook could look like. We'll pitch and pass with Isaac as we integrate our playbook into a page of the new website we just shipped!

Playbook Outline

Some of this could be included in a long version, some would be included in an expanded "Playbook" section of the website. For example, the first week items wouldn't be the the website, but would be in a longer version

  • In my mind, I envision Plot Twisters becoming a collective of creators who care about self-reflection, critical thinking, and dialogue as a practice — student of life, education in and out of the classroom. Everyone is both a storyteller in the Plot Twisters metaverse and a creator of the Plot Twisters metaverse — we contribute our dialogue to the iteration of Plot Twisters products, and we learn more about ourselves as we go through the journey builder, role model reports, among other tools. Creators will be able to start games with other members of the team, perhaps form a team that exists outside of Plot Twisters (and Plot Twisters will be able to negotiate to give the idea owners full rights to their creations).
