I figured out that my thumbnail problem has likely been caused by my custom CCLeaner task, where "Thumbnail Cache" was selected.
Through my discovery of the simple function in Windows Explorer that lists all files regardless of subfolders ($"*"$) I spent far too much time parsing all of The Pudding's images as well as the entire history of The Linux Gazette. Some were added in ‣ and many icons throughout the root index were changed to artifacts I found.
I also spent too much time in Illustrator trying to create a personal round icon/logo. I think I may have to accept that Caslon is just... not applicable in this case. Or that I just shouldn't try to do anything in Illustrator at this point in my life.
Figma is hard and complicated but definitely worth learning.

The potential of the "digital garden" for infinite iteration seems like it could be quite dangerous for someone like me, who will wander around fucking iterating little bits on different pages. It's definitely freeing in some ways, of course, in that I am not doing so toward any publishing deadline or any readership element at all, really, but it's definitely potent. As with my father's garden... Garden work is never done.
