International Exchange with Students in Japan!

Dear teachers, are you interested in holding an online international exchange class with students in Japan? Or looking for innovative ways to practice your students’ English?

If so, WorldClassroom is your answer!

Our service ‐ WorldClassroom

WorldClassroom is our online service that connects Japanese schools with schools abroad. Students can communicate in English with their peers around the world in their own classroom! Our main purpose in developing this service is to show students the importance of understanding diversity as well as using English to connect with the world.

Our service provides two different kinds of programs:

  1. The online international exchange (IntEx) program arranges classes for Japanese students and students abroad. Since our main focus is real-time communication, we have certain criteria that schools must meet before they are accepted into the IntEx program. Once accepted, our team will facilitate classes between your school and Japanese schools.
  2. The video exchange (VidEx) program connects schools around the world by sharing videos on our WorldClassroom app. Students can share recorded videos with classrooms around the world and communicate with each other by leaving comments. This program allows students to connect with their peers without technological or time restrictions.

Class Content

In the break out rooms, students have 1-on-1 conversations or small group conversations so that everyone is encouraged to make an effort to speak in English. Each IntEx class is approximately 30-50 minutes.

We use online platforms to connect and usually start with greetings from both teachers.
