I am an experienced communications designer that wanted to do more with design than make things look aesthetically pleasing. I believe that designers are, first and foremost, problem solvers and I have used those skills throughout my design career.
After many years as a communication designer, I went back to school earning my Master’s Degree in Design from DAAP (Design, Architecture and Planning) at the University of Cincinnati. My experience as a communication designer lends itself well to developing a polished design interface that establishes clear communication through visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation and well-thought-out brand execution. My skills as a design researcher has taught me how to create journey maps and to align the user's needs to the structure and design of a website through scenarios and wireframing. Research has allowed me to do a deep dive into specific topics, and to completely immerse myself into the experience of the user to become human-center focused.
