Currently, users are getting confused with how to track their media, and those that understand are frustrated at the difficulty in which to update outside of the quick update. This spec outlines an iteration to solve these pain points. This is a high priority change that we need live asap.

1. The Nav Bar

I'd like to place the full library within one-click of a user at all times, at least until we see that users are either embracing or rejecting the Quick Update methodology. For this reason, we're removing the sidebar from the Nav Bar and replacing it with the full user library.

The sidebar is now found on the home feed, within the sticky header, represented as the user avatar. The header here and sidebar design have also received some small design polish.

2. The Library

Our current flow takes a user to a scrollable grid view of their library and from their they need to click 'view all' to see the full library for that section. While this approach is great for viewing other people's libraries, it makes viewing your own library very painful. To ease this approach, we're taking heavy inspiration from the app 'Ookami' by Jigglyslime and forgoing the scrollable grid sections in favor of a more traditional approach when viewing your personal library.

It should be noted that viewing the library tab of other users should remain as it is currently. This change only affects your personal library when hitting the library icon in the Nav Bar.

Settings button should be similar to Ookami, allowing users to change how library is sorted as well as change rating system from the library view itself.

3. Media Pages

A lot of users go to media pages to update their library progress and we currently don't support this at all. Further, we only display up to 20 episodes and the episode thumbnails shown on the media homepage lead users to believe that they can watch those episodes within the app. We'll be updating these Media Pages to instead show all episodes (not just 20!) but also allow a user to mark those episodes as complete. Additionally, thumbnails and episode description will only be shown on the episode view (doesn't exist in app yet)

I've updated the following designs to also include the 'Kitsu Score' this is the community approval percentage from the website (but it should not include the digits after the decimal point as we do currently e.g. '86.345') I've also added the "details" block, which should be relatively simple to add and removed the character block until we have character pages.

When a user marks episodes as complete from the media page, all previous episodes should automatically get marked as complete. This will change to an optional prompt when we support marking individual episodes as complete in the near-future.
