Image formats in Decidim need to respect clear guidance in order to appear properly. In order to limit loading time and improve platforma accessibility, Decidim automatically resizes and crops images to different sizes.
As a general rule, images sizes should be kept under 1Mb, and image names should not include any special characters ($!/’:.;?) or punctuation marks. Images width should not be bigger than 3400px max.
Also beware to avoid text or relevant information in your image, as images should be of illustrative purpose only: text content is rarely visible because images are cropped to screen size (i.e. on mobile phones), and text content is not indexable by search engines, therefore this information is not mapped as public, searchable information.
The perfect size for the logo image of the header is 600 x 160px . Anything different will be reduced and cropped to this ratio.
The perfect size for the logo image of the footer is 600 x 180px . Anything different will be reduced and cropped to this ratio.
