• What is a Mastermind Group
    • A mastermind group is a 2 ~12 people peer-to-peer mentoring group used to help members solve their problems with input and advice from the other group members. The group members are best to be people who care about each other while having different perspectives and love to help each other. Help each other get mutual support and accountability.
    • The concept was named in 1925 by author Napoleon Hill, talked about in his book “Think and Grow Rich”.
    • Examples of famous mastermind groups in history:
      • Paypal Mafia (13 founding team members of Paypal, met once every few months for year and helped each other to fund great companies)

        • List of members:

      • Benjamin Franklin’s "Club of Mutual Improvement”, or “Junto” (maximum 12 people, meet weekly, the format is very similar to a mastermind group)

        • Started in 1727, The group lasted for 40 years and eventually became the nucleus of the American Philosophical Society.
      • The Vagabonds (meet once a year, in the form of yearly road trips and campfire chats, from 1925 to 1924)

        • Members: Henry Ford, the automobile mogul, Harvey Firestone, founder of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Warren G. Harding, US President, Thomas Edison, famed scientist and inventor, and Luther Burbank, respected agriculturist
