Before using this list

• I have personally researched every single one of these companies myself (all 245 of them), which means that I know a fair amount more than what is written on this list. If you have any questions, go ahead and contact me.
• This list is meant to only encompass game development studios in Copenhagen and Malmö. The idea is that you'd be able to commute to any of these to make games while living in either city.
  • While there are a few publishers and game tech companies here, as well as several studios from outside the commute radius (which spans from Lund to Albertslund, and up to Hørsholm), they are clearly marked as such, and they are not the focus of this list. This list is focused on studios that develop games, which is why it doesn't have a few big names like Raw Fury, Unity or Coherence.
  • I also have no intention of adding any more defunct companies than the ones already listed; the ones that are there are just so that people don't spend time trying to research them to then find out they're defunct.
  • While there are a few one-person studios here, that is not the main focus of this list, since it's meant to help with job hunting. All studios with three people or less are under the "Small team" type: I didn't want to outright exclude all collaborations or single developers, but they're less likely to have space to hire someone.
• If you find any incongruencies, missing studios, or any outdated or incorrect information (for example, you find that one of the companies I've marked as defunct is still active), please do tell me so I can update it!
  • Before asking to add a certain studio, please search for it using the search bars on the top right corner of your window or on the top right corner of the table. A lot of these companies have changed names, and I've tried to take care to record any previous names.

Things you can do with this list

The tool I made this list with is called Notion. It's an extremely versatile notes application, which allows you to do much, much more than just make tables. I thoroughly recommend it. • There are several views for this list: you can change the view by clicking on the emoji at the very top of the table, next to where it says "Game Studios." You can probably figure out what each view does.
• Any company that has a 📄 icon next to their name has even more notes inside their entry. Hover over the company name, and then click the [OPEN] button that appears.
