<aside> ♻️ Hey Ecowarriors! Yesterday's lesson may have been a little scary. How come we are making electricity in ways that can hurt people and the environment? However, there's always hope. In environmental science, that hope is called sustainability. Sustainability is when people or countries try to live in a way that helps the environment. Today, you'll learn about the best ways to save both energy and the planet!

For this week’s closing activity, you will get to design your own energy-efficient house! Energy-efficient means using a small amount of energy. There is a template included that you can print off. The template has a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and two bedrooms. If you want to, you can draw your own template and even base it off of your home!

In order to design your house, use your knowledge of energy efficient technology to include in your design. Use what you learned this week about energy sources to make the most energy efficient house by thinking about what eco-friendly choices!

From the table you looked at on Monday, you can pick energy-efficient lightbulbs, appliances, power strips, shower heads, kitchen sinks, water heaters, and more. You can even decide what type of power your house will run on such as geothermal, solar, wind, hydrothermal or others.

For example you can include products such as:

LED Bulbs

Smart fridges

Low flow water fixtures

Smart Power strips

Energy efficient washing machines

Sustainable insulation

Energy efficient windows

On the back of your drawing please include a description of what energy efficient products you have used and how you have designed a more sustainable house. Also include how the products you have incorporated have made your design more energy efficient.
