- Having the Irish Pub folks open up just for us & join in the fun @ Namche Bazaar
- Getting sunburnt for the first time (altitude) on my nose and being terrified it was frostbite
- Flying into Tenzing-Hilary (Lukla) airport
- Being rushed off the plane once it landed before a sub 5 min turnaround for next take-off
- Experiencing the local Himalayan culture
- Seeing the realities of life post-earthquake in one of the world's most remote regions
- Realizing that many locals with low material wealth are happier than lots of people in Western countries with high material wealth
