TL;DR : Share your social links to get more engagement and in turn engage with other's shared posts to help them. Drop a link in the channel so it is easy for others to engage.
Examples:
Engagement on social media posts is important because the more likes, comments and shares a post has, the more likely it is to be seen. We all want our posts to be seen right? That is why we post them on the interweb - to get eyes on our brand (whether personal or business).
I'm going to get personal here because this topic boggles my mind. I may even get a bit sassy so click off if you don't want to hear a slight rant.
On a personal level, we all like the dopamine release we get when we get likes on social media. It's science.
So what boggles my mind is why people who are in engagement pods or members of groups with channels like this, don't actually click the link and like the post. You can give someone a lil' dopamine by using your index finger and clicking twice.
Now on a business level, how can these 8 seconds and two clicks help someone else?
When you interact on a post, the social media gods take note that you think that post was good and are more likely to show it to other people. Therefore you are helping the post to get more eyes on it. Marketing is all about getting eyes on products, right?
I wrote this post 👇 awhile back because it frustrates me how people will sit and aimlessly scroll social media for hours and scroll right past a business post of a friend's and later say, "cool post, man" but didn't comment or even like the post.

Oh one more thing! As a social media mentor I have done countless calls about boosting engagement on social media and I always ask, "How do you use social media?" and I often hear things like "I browse, but don't really interact ever."
If you want to boost the engagement on your posts, the first thing you need to do is interact with others. It's the Social Media Golden Rule ☮️
