EA NYC is looking for a part-time or full-time Community Director for an initial period of 1 year. The position would be funded by the Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA), through its Community Building Grants (CBG) program.

EA NYC is a local community of people who make benefiting others a significant part of their lives, and use evidence and reason to figure out how to do so. The EA NYC community is one of the largest effective altruism communities worldwide.

The CBG program aims to increase the number of people dedicated to working on some of the world’s most important problems, by supporting organisers to grow and improve their effective altruism communities. The program provides funding for part-time and full-time community-building work and has funded organisers in locations such as Oxford, London, Berlin, and Yale.

About the Role

The Community Director will grow and support EA NYC, engaging people with the ideas and community of effective altruism and helping them in their journey to find their best options for doing good.
