💽 Technical Screen
Coding Interview
For this interview, we’ll assess your skills in SQL while exploring datasets we provide during the interview. You’ll have access to a developer environment for this interview that will be provided in the calendar invite. The interview will focus on your understanding of key SQL functions through practical coding problems.
- Note: While we are big fans of AI and the potential it unlocks, we kindly ask you refrain from using tools like ChatGPT, Github Copilot or similar during the interview as we care deeply about ensuring a consistent and fair experience for all. Thank you!
🖥️ Hiring Manager Interview
An interview with the manager of the Data Science team. You'll talk through previous technical projects, going deep into details about the decisions you made as you built it. Think about some of the projects you've worked on in the past that you're most proud of. The tactics & methods you've used in the past for statistical analysis will be relevant to the situational problem we ask.
🏡 Virtual Onsite Interviews
Dashboard Prototype (60 Mins)
- You will be asked to bring a dashboard you have created in the past. During the interview, you will walk through your thought process and design decisions, and discuss how the dashboard can drive decision-making.
- If you do not feel comfortable bringing a live dashboard, feel free to bring screenshots and present those to your interviewer. As well, you are free to obfuscate or redact any confidential numbers or details in your dashboard.
- If you’d prefer not to share previous work, you can design a lightweight dashboard with Tableau Online using the data set [Supermarket Sales Dataset on kaggle]. Building a fairly simple dashboard is completely acceptable, so please do not try to spend more than ~4 hours on this dashboard - as we want to be cognizant of your time.
Analytics Case Study (30 mins)
- You’ll walk through a hypothetical business situation that will assess your ability to diagnose ambiguous problems using intuition & data
Career History & Experience Interview (60 mins)
- A non-technical career history interview to understand your experience more in-depth, your biggest achievements, challenges, and how you worked with others on teams. It's helpful to review highlights and lowlights of each major role you've held, achievements and challenges through your career, the people you worked with and who your manager was.
