Borrow technology category descriptions
Refers to a unique piece of technology. An item might include multiple options. An item usually has its own page under a category. We use “item” instead of “device” except in item descriptions when it makes the most sense to use “device” in context. This is equivalent to AIS staff’s “title.” See terminology example.
Users can place a hold online for some items, meaning they will be notified when an item is availble for them to pickup. When placing a hold, users cannot select a date to pickup their item. Instead, users will be notified when an item is available.
