Collaborative community of Latin American journalists for the onboarding and inclusion in Web3.

Who we are

In today’s reality for journalism, Latin America and the Caribbean are direct victims of information blockage. According to statistics from 2021 provided by Reporteros Sin Fronteras, reporters from at least 15 nations in the region already face serious issues to gain access to data and sources in their own countries.

This information barrier only grows in Web3, where most latino journalists face the challenge of adapting to an entire new ecosystem that is taking on the region.

Only 8% of the content on the internet is in Spanish and 3.7% in Portuguese, compared to the outstanding amount of  26% of English material. Added to this, the Web3 niche is even more exclusive, with the majority of the content directed only to technical English speakers.

Introducing the Blockchain Press Club, an organization dedicated to connect, nurture and provide professional opportunities to Latin American journalists. Today’s journalism suffers from an extremely isolated professional environment, affecting heavily the publishing of latino-based content and its public.

In order to help professional communicators excel at their responsibility as trustworthy sources of information, Blockchain Press Club provides a space for connection and sources of mentorship, education and career formation in content creation, journalism and Web3 for our peers, benefiting the Latin American public directly.

Our Mandates

1. Connect: Reunite a strong collaborative community of journalists across Latin America to share knowledge, experiences and contacts.
2. Educate: Provide actualized educational resources to teach journalists and new professionals in communications about content creation and Web3 through online and physical events.
3. Earn: Provide our members with opportunities of building portfolios within Web3 through rewarded collaborations with partnerships in the ecosystem.
