What have you done or built that makes you stand out? Could be a project, experience, or skill others don't have.
I grew a platform called 'Proof of Concept" that promotes young entrepreneurs to over 8.5M views across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. We've also recorded over 40 podcasts showcasing their stories in a deeper way. Although I'm not fluent I've done long-form and short-form episodes in Spanish as well
I helped two of my close friends build "Illini Run Club" from the ground up. In a few months we grew to over 1M views on Instagram, scaled to 150+ weekly attendees, and worked with brands such as Nike, Redbull, and Celsius.
Along with media pursuits came a lot of impressive connections. To further provide them value, I hosted 5 events for these crem de la crem personalities, attracting 20+ creators, builders, and founders each time. After connecting with a now-close-friend from UMichigan, I rebranded the community to Power Hour - The CIA for College Entrepreneurship. Since doing so, we've expanded our network to over 8 schools in the Midwest and recently hosted a retreat for nationwide creators in Evart, Michigan.
I also cold-emailed into a feature on My First Million so these awesome friends of ours could pitch head to head.
I've also gone skydiving, experienced a summer of door-to-door sales (was quite character building), and cold-emailed my way into a caddie job last summer

How would you spend $2,000? Be specific about what you'd build or try.
I'm a current student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I've decided to go on gap going this next semester. While I'm very grateful everything the UIUC ecosystem has offered me, I've felt as I've reached most of my growth potential within it. With that being said, I'll soon be moving out to SF.
Over the last few years, I've gotten pretty deep into copy-writing and brand-development (while building my own things). I'm remotely working with an agency (we work with some pretty cool people I just signed an NDA and can't say who) as well as some solopreneurs and startups on my own (Joey Debruin at Robo and Innovo Markets). I'm waiting for my the EIN for my LLC to come in to process some of this work. Over this gap I plan this to be my primary focus and scaling it to the point where I don't need to go back to college.
Financially, I'm not in the best situation though. I will be paying rent in two locations soon. I'm also typing this application off a laptop that has faulty 'x', 'c', and 'v' keys and a permanently-broken 'n' key (I'm copy and pasting to type 'n' every-time). I'm not new to being scrappy to make ends meet; While I was growing my media channel, I would donate plasma 2x a week to make sure I could pay for my team and software subscriptions. It would be very nice to have some breathing room though.
