Its hard to understand doubling as it does not happen that often. Population doesn’t really grow exponentially because there is a limiting factor which is usually natural resources.
The thing is, now with a world that does not really have these growth limiters, it is way easier to conquer all rather or nothing rather than be sorta successful.
Thats why YC focuses on growth and not numbers too much because its all or nothing baby.
It’s all about those B’s Baby. Or in Sam’s case 7 trillion. (More than Apple and Microsoft combined)
