In the UI editor, textboxes are another type of element that you can add to the UI canvas. As you may have guessed, the purpose of a textbox is to add text to the UI canvas, and subsequently, to your future website.

How do you add a textbox into the UI canvas?
Adding a textbox element to the UI canvas is straightforward, similar to basic layout elements like blocks and grids. However, textboxes have specific features you can customize from the "text" section in the inspector panel when the element is selected.
- Switch to the UI editor.
- Click on the 'Add elements' button in the top left corner.
- Hover over the "Basic" section in the pop-up to reveal another pop-up.
- In the new pop-up, locate the "other" section with three elements.
- Choose the "Text" element to add a textbox to the UI canvas.
- Double-click the textbox to enter the editing state and type your text. Click elsewhere or press enter to exit the editing mode and save the text.

How do you edit textbox specific settings in the UI canvas?
Once you've added a textbox to the UI canvas, you can modify specific text-only settings. To access these, click on the textbox element and scroll down to the last section of the right-side inspector panel. These options include:

- Font: Change the font type from a selection of over 100 Google fonts.
- Weight: Adjust the thickness of the chosen font.
- Color: Modify the color of the text.
- Shadow: Apply and alter shadow effects on the text.
