How do you add a link into the UI canvas?

Adding a link element to the UI canvas is as simple as adding basic layout elements like blocks and grids. However, links have specific features that can be edited in the "link" section of the inspector panel once the link element is selected. Note that the link function will not redirect you when clicked inside the UI editor. It will only work when published or in preview mode.

  1. Switch to the UI editor.
  2. Click on the "Add elements" button in the top left corner.
  3. Hover over the "Basic" section on the pop-up to open another pop-up.
  4. In the new pop-up, you should see an "other" section with three elements.
  5. Click on the "Link" element to add a text box to the UI canvas.
  6. Double-click on the link element to enter the editing state and type your chosen text. Click elsewhere or press enter to exit editing mode and save the text.

You can also make other elements clickable links by adding them as child objects of the link element. If you're unsure about managing the hierarchy view, visit the managing scene hierarchy section.
