About the GPs
Gautam & Raj are the GPs of Inuka Capital. We are currently investing out of our $10M Fund I. Both of us have spent the majority of the last 15 years building companies.
- Gautam: Founded a consumer internet startup called AudioCompass in 2011. Raised seed funding from Blume Ventures. Built the business over 6 years, got to profitability, but eventually decided to shut it down because we were not hitting venture scale. After AudioCompass, was the first international hire at Quora, and started the international team at Skillshare. I’ve been angel investing since 2011 and ran On Deck’s accelerator fund in India just before starting Inuka Capital with Raj.
- Raj: 4x founder - first two companies were B2C, both failed. Company 3, Recruiterbox, ended up being part of the first cohort of breakout SaaS companies from India. Bootstrapped to several million $ ARR and then sold to a private equity firm. Used the proceeds from that sale to acquire a flatlining company (Company 4), turned that company around, and eventually sold to a direct competitor.
We started Inuka Capital because we felt that there weren’t enough full time pre-seed investors in India that had been operators.
